Dreamwork is a powerful practice for enhancing personal growth and therapeutic insight. Dreams, fantasies, and visions are part of daily life. They can be used systematically to provide alternative ways for experiencing reality and relationships beyond everyday consciousness.

The visioning and dreamwork techniques are taught in this workshop as a way of demonstrating the many ways dreams –- night dreams, daydreams, visioning dreams – can be utilized to increase awareness, promote healing, and enhance relatedness with others. A simple and efficient method for dream exploration is presented, designed to meet the needs of today’s busy lifestyle.

The cornerstone of the model taught in this workshop is the process of translating a dream into “dream language.” Participants will learn how to use this language as an aid for personal dreamwork and therapeutic practice. This training includes using dream language to accept aspects of the self, taking responsibility for one’s behavior, facing fears, completing issues form the past, and setting goals for the future.

The workshop will cover how to remember, interpret, share and use dreams to enhance personal and professional relationships. Participants will learn how to create visions for how to empower and sustain relationships over time. Using “visioning dreams” to create possibilities for relatedness will be a central part of this work.

A variety of techniques for sharing dreams will be taught, including dream journaling, co-dreaming, guided fantasy, dream incubation, changing and acting out dreams. Participants will complete this workshop knowing how to use their dreams and those of significant others to enhance relationships.

The workshop is typically taught for an evening and the following day to enhance the power of dreaming and studying dreams.
